Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Search & Recommendations team, shaping how millions discover products daily. You’ll own end-to-end ML solutions from experimentation to deployment, monitoring and optimization in production environments.

You’ll work with ML Engineers, Applied Scientists, Software Engineers and Product partners to translate ideas into scalable systems that deliver measurable customer and business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying ML solutions in production environments.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost or similar.
• Experience training models on GPUs or interest in distributed ML systems.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals: VCS, CI/CD, testing, observability, containers.
• Appreciation for MLOps practices and deploying ML at scale.
• Strong collaboration across engineering, science and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production-grade ML systems powering personalization and product discovery.
• Improve recommender systems, ranking models and customer-facing ML capabilities.
• Deploy models in batch and real-time environments ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to move models into robust production.
• Monitor and iterate models using real-world customer data and metrics.
• Contribute to ML platform tooling and best practices.
