Job summary

MFK Recruitment is seeking an IT Support Engineer with Mac experience to join a private art‑sector business in Stroud, Gloucestershire. The role is onsite five days a week and focuses on Apple‑centric tech support across macOS and hardware.

You will help colleagues get the most from their technology, troubleshooting issues, setting up Macs and escalating complex faults to the infrastructure team as needed. The team values approachable, responsible individuals who communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months hands‑on experience supporting Macs in a professional IT support role.
• Practical knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware, with confidence investigating issues.
• Experience installing applications, configuring equipment and troubleshooting printers/peripherals.
• Understanding of user accounts, permissions and basic networking including Wi‑Fi.
• Clear communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to colleagues.
• Good organisation and attention to detail, with ability to prioritise requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, responsive support in person and through IT team channels.
• Diagnose macOS and Apple hardware faults, including performance and display issues.
• Set up and configure Macs, install software and apply updates per IT procedures.
• Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners and everyday workplace equipment.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, preparing devices and account access.
• Investigate basic Wi‑Fi and network issues, plus routine Windows support.
• Record requests and resolutions, maintaining equipment records and documentation.
• Escalate complex faults to infrastructure team with notes on symptoms and impact.
