Job summary

MFK Recruitment is seeking an IT Support Engineer with Mac experience to join a private business in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Onsite role five days a week with no travel. You will support colleagues with hardware, software, accounts and Apple devices, focusing on practical troubleshooting in a creative environment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Mac support experience, strong knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware, and can explain technical issues clearly to non-IT colleagues in plain English.

Qualifications

• 12+ months hands-on Mac support in a professional IT role.
• Strong knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware.
• Experience installing applications and configuring equipment.
• Understanding of user accounts and basic networking.
• Clear communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, responsive support in person and through IT channels, keeping colleagues updated until requests are resolved.
• Diagnose macOS and Apple hardware faults, including performance issues and peripheral problems.
• Set up and configure Macs, install approved software and apply updates per IT procedures.
• Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners and other workplace equipment.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, preparing devices and arranging account access.
• Investigate basic Wi‑Fi and network connectivity issues and support Windows estate.
• Record requests, troubleshooting steps and resolutions with accurate equipment records.
• Escalate complex faults to infrastructure with notes on symptoms and prior checks.
