Job summary

CrossCountry Trains is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and optimise the Microsoft 365 environment and related tools. You will manage Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams, ensuring robust operation and security across the platform.

You will also handle Windows in virtualised environments (VMware), support incident resolution, and contribute to automation using PowerShell. The role is a 12-month FTC based in Birmingham with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

Proven proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
Competence in Windows environments and virtualization (VMware).
Experience in IT incident, request and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

Maintain and administer CrossCountry’s M365 stack and supporting tools to ensure fit-for-purpose operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex M365 incidents with minimal downtime.
Maintain data integrity, backups and disaster recovery strategies.
Use PowerShell and admin tools to optimise and automate tasks.
Package and deploy approved applications via InTune or SCCM.
Document resolutions, changes and audits in ITSM tooling.
Assist with third-party support and project work as needed.
Support out-of-hours incident resolution as part of the rota.
