Job summary

CrossCountry Trains is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator in Birmingham for a 12-month FTC. The role focuses on maintaining the M365 stack, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams, while ensuring data protection and business continuity.

You will optimise communications platforms, manage backups and DR strategies, and contribute to automation with PowerShell. Hybrid working and a customer-focused mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams.
• Experience in Windows environments and virtualization (VMware).
• ITIL V4 Foundation and relevant Microsoft 365 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer CrossCountry Trains' M365 stack and supporting tools.
• Optimize Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive to enhance enterprise communications.
• Troubleshoot complex M365 incidents with a focus on minimizing downtime.
• Develop automation with PowerShell and M365 admin tools.
• Engage third party support and participate in out-of-hours incident resolution.
