Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking an M&E Technician with a water systems bias in Colchester for a full-time role with a 24-hour on-call rota. You will maintain mechanical, electrical and water systems, perform plant room and water-related tasks, and respond to breakdowns while following safety and compliance requirements.

The role emphasizes independent work and potential on-call duties with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance with water systems knowledge.
• Proficient in plumbing, TMV maintenance and water temperature monitoring.
• Able to inspect pumps, water softeners, pressurisation units and expansion vessels.
• Familiar with BMS systems, HVAC equipment and plant room inspections.
• Ability to work safely on breakdowns and planned works.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, electrical and water systems across the site.
• Complete plant room checks, plumbing tasks and water treatment activities.
• Maintain pumps, pressure systems, HVAC equipment, TMVs, tanks and sprinklers.
• Respond to breakdowns and support new works in a safety compliant way.
