Job summary

Integrated Water Services (Mechanical and Electrical) IWS M&E in Wallingford is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Operative to join our team. This hands-on role covers installation, maintenance and refurbishment of mechanical and electrical plant across water infrastructure projects, with training provided and a company van.

You'll need a positive attitude, care for quality work, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Experience in a mechanical, electrical or engineering environment; full training will be provided.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
Flexibility to work additional hours and travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Installing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical apparatus and associated equipment.
Installing, maintaining and repairing water-related pumping plant, pipework and associated control equipment.
Working on pumping infrastructure including split case pumps, vertical turbine pumps and associated assets.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Supporting project delivery across a variety of customer sites.
Working in accordance with Health & Safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
Working closely with colleagues and customers to deliver high-quality solutions.
