Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Water Bias to join our team in Westminster, London. The role is full-time and involves both planned and reactive maintenance across domestic and closed water systems, plumbing, and building services.

You will respond to call-outs, work safely to codes of practice, and collaborate with the engineering supervisor and subcontractors to deliver high-quality service. A valid UK driving licence and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• L8 qualified with City and Guilds or NVQ in plumbing and mechanical engineering.
• Experience in building services and the 18th Edition Test and Inspection.
• Able to work with diverse teams and take initiative.
• Full clean driving licence and ability to gain CTC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including domestic and closed water systems, plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems.
• Provide first line response to reactive call-outs, ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with approved codes of practice.
• Assist with building fabric and electrical systems maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with engineering supervisor and specialist subcontractors to deliver high quality service.
