Position: Technical Manager

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £48-54k plus company car or allowance

A well-established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor, with over 20 years of industry experience, is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee its service, maintenance, and small works function.

Operating from their office on the outskirts of Birmingham, the business specialises in high-quality M&E solutions within mission‑critical environments. The company works directly with end clients across sectors such as healthcare, IT, and critical infrastructure.

This Technical Manager will oversee planned and reactive maintenance alongside small works projects up to £50k, including plant replacements, system upgrades, and lifecycle improvements to critical M&E systems. You will be acting as the main point of contact for clients while ensuring all works are delivered safely and compliant. The role suits someone who enjoys a varied position combining technical leadership and client engagement.

The majority of the works will be overseeing major climate solutions within Mission Critical environments, along with associated electrical systems such as BMS, Controls.

Qualifications
  • A strong background in M&E / building services (mechanical, electrical, or both)
