Job summary

Equans is looking for an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our Manchester team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.

The M&E QS will provide contract commercial management, governance and profit improvement for the MJH contract. You will manage multiple stakeholder relationships including Client representatives, Hard FM Provider, and EQUANS teams, delivering governance and commercial support to projects.

Qualifications

• Suitable commercial experience within a similar industry sector.
• Educated to degree/diploma level in either Law or Quantity Surveying
• Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial (Construction Act etc).
• Ideally a member or training to be member of RICS.
• Excellent communicator
• Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy.
• Sound understanding of risk analysis/management.
• PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel.
• Thorough knowledge and experience of Business Assurance systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor and report on risks.
• Support management and mitigation of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical).
• Manage variation/change control to capture revenue.
• Maintain repository for confidential/commercially sensitive information.
• Lead governance within contracts to ensure compliance with contract and internal processes.
• Ensure awareness of contractual responsibilities among EQUANS colleagues and contract deliverables.
• Assist in seeking efficiencies and service optimisation.
• Support management of cash under contract areas.
• Ensure full commercial governance to all subcontractors.
• Provide day-to-day commercial support to project management teams.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
