Job summary

The M/E/I Supervisor at Tioxide Materials Ltd leads the plant Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument technician team to safely deliver the weekly maintenance plan and planned maintenance events, and to respond to injected work as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

You will define priorities, ensure work is completed to targets and safety standards, and manage emergent work within a live process environment, driving maintenance excellence and KPI reporting across the site.

Qualifications

• Supervisory qualification to NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance background in industrial/manufacturing.
• Knowledge of valves, rotating equipment and conveying systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and communicate technical requirements to shopfloor teams.
• Experience leading, supervising or coordinating maintenance technicians or contractor teams.
• Understanding of legislative, safety, engineering and quality standards in maintenance/manufacturing.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate maintenance work against targets.
• Ability to manage team performance, timekeeping, discipline and industrial relations.
• Strong communication skills with ability to provide progress updates and performance information.
• Commitment to safe working, compliance, high standards and values-based culture.
• Experience in chemical/process/high-hazard/Upper Tier COMAH environments.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument teams.
• Experience implementing or using short interval control processes.
• Experience delivering weekly maintenance plans in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
• Experience supporting maintenance excellence programmes.
• Experience developing maintenance KPIs, progress reports or dashboards.
• Experience identifying and supporting technician training and competence development needs.
• Experience responding to injected or emergent maintenance work in live plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the weekly maintenance plan in line with area requirements and targets.
• Direct maintenance activities within the plant, ensuring safety, engineering and quality standards are met.
• Maintain short interval control processes to support technicians and resolve blockers.
• Ensure maintenance work is high quality and completed to schedule.
• Lead and motivate the MEI technician team to pursue maintenance excellence.
• Maintain good industrial relations, timekeeping and performance across the team.
• Evaluate training and skill development needs to support site objectives.
• Provide accurate progress reports and KPIs to support decision-making.
