Job summary

Tioxide Materials Ltd in Hartlepool seeks an experienced Workshop Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to lead the Site Engineering team. You will oversee mechanical repairs, refurbishment and workshop assembly while coordinating electrical/instrumentation support as needed.

The role involves managing workshop personnel and contractors, ensuring safety, QA/QC, and alignment with OEM specifications and site standards. Prior experience in rotating equipment and engineering drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• At least five years' experience in mechanical maintenance or workshop activities in an industrial setting.
• Supervisory experience in maintenance, repair or engineering workshop.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workshop personnel and contractors, allocating resources and monitoring progress.
• Ensure all workshop activities are completed safely and in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Coordinate mechanical maintenance, overhaul, repair, refurbishment and assembly activities.
• Coordinate workshop-based electrical and instrumentation inspection, testing, repair and refurbishment.
