M-TEC Engineering Solutions in Shropshire seeks a Maintenance Team Leader to coordinate the shift maintenance team and work with the production line to hit targets for plant availability and PM completion. The role requires leading maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement and applying 5S principles while promoting safety across the plant.

Heavy engineering and machining exposure are desirable for success in this position.

Competenze

Experience leading maintenance teams or shifts.
Time served apprentice in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
Experience within heavy engineering or machining environments is desirable.

Mansioni

Coordinate and lead the maintenance team on shift.
Liaise with production team leader and supervisor to meet targets (plant availability & PM completion).
Promote HSE policies across department and plant and ensure safety compliance.
Manage contractors safely and respond to accidents, near misses and environmental issues.
Ensure maintenance schedule (CMs, CIs and PMs) is followed and report deviations from plan.
Ensure equipment availability aligns with departmental targets.
Oversee holidays/absence according to policy.
Engage in root-cause analysis of repeat breakdowns and provide improvement reports.
Apply 5S in work area and wider factory.
