Job summary

The Social Hub in Glasgow is seeking an M&E Operations Host to manage a mixed portfolio of events across our central Glasgow location. You will ensure guests receive a warm welcome, set up and break down spaces, and expertly manage food, beverage and AV needs for multiple events.

We’re looking for at least one year of event operations experience, a flexible, hands-on attitude, and the ability to work solo when needed. Fluency in English and UK work eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in event operations, preferably in a multi-room environment.
• Flexible, hands-on, motivated and positive approach.
• Able to work solo on occasion to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests at events and be the face of our events delivery at the hotel.
• Set up and break down event spaces, often solo.
• Deliver food and drink at events.
• Monitor and maintain event equipment.
• Assist delegates with AV issues.
• Keep areas clean and ready for shifts.
• Understand event packages and menu changes.
• Act as a concierge to guests for local recommendations.
• Assist guests with facility requests.
