Job summary

Mappin & Webb is seeking a fully flexible Deputy Manager for our Bluewater showroom in Dartford. You will support the Showroom Manager, drive sales targets, manage floor operations, and coach the team to deliver the luxury client experience that our brand is known for.

You will plan daily and weekly tasks, monitor KPIs, control costs, and maintain visual merchandising to brand standards. The role requires strong leadership, an eye for detail and a passion for premium watches and fine jewellery;

Qualifications

• Essential experience in a retail environment, delivering sales and improving processes.
• Experience in managing budgets and identifying cost-improvement opportunities.
• Strong numeracy and the ability to analyse business performance and take action.
• Experience leading a team and coaching others to improve performance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; sales and target driven.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships and knowledge of luxury brands.
• IT literacy and capability to adapt to technology-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the showroom team to drive sales and meet KPIs and targets.
• Manage discounts and costs within budget and policy guidelines.
• Recruitment, performance management and coaching of floor colleagues.
• Deliver exceptional client experiences in-store and at client events as required.
• Provide feedback and recommendations from competitor analysis.
• Represent the showroom in internal and external meetings; maintain visual merchandising to standards.
• Organise daily/weekly tasks and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Run showroom training and participate in VM changes as required.
