Job summary

Agilis Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for a luxury fashion store in Cheltenham. You will lead from the shop floor, drive commercial performance, nurture a high-performing team across womenswear and menswear, and build strong client relationships.

You will open/close the boutique, manage stock, coach on KPIs, and ensure flawless visual merchandising and service standards across two floors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing teams in premium or luxury retail.
• Proven track record delivering exceptional client experiences.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive performance against KPIs.
• Experience coaching staff and managing individuals at different career stages.
• Impeccable presentation and understanding of luxury fashion brands.

Responsibilities

• Lead shop floor operations and day-to-day store leadership across two floors.
• Drive exceptional client experience and maintain high service standards.
• Open and close the boutique, ensuring procedures are followed.
• Monitor KPIs, coach the team, and drive performance.
• Develop VIP/returning client relationships and personalise service.
• Support onboarding, product knowledge, and service expectations.
• Manage stock deliveries, transfers, replenishment and stock counts.
• Maintain impeccable visual merchandising and brand standards.
• Support workforce planning, including rota management and shift cover.
• Handle escalated client concerns with professionalism.
