Job summary

BaxterStorey is hiring for a customer service-focused hospitality role in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and ensure a clean, well-organized lounge environment that meets our high standards.

You will handle guest inquiries, resolve issues professionally, and work as part of a collaborative team to deliver exceptional service while adhering to safety, hygiene, and COSHH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service in café/hotel/restaurant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Handling customer complaints effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly with attention to detail.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and courteously.
• Keep the lounge clean and tidy, clear, sweep, mop and dispose of rubbish.
• Restock condiments, napkins, cutlery and supplies as needed.
• Assist in monitoring inventory/stock levels and report shortages.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Follow COSHH regulations and use protective equipment when handling chemicals.
• Adhere to dress code policies and demonstrate excellence.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices, including proper hand hygiene.
• Maintain safe kitchen environments with proper temperature controls and storage procedures.
