Job summary

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London is seeking a motivated Chef Apprentice to join our talented Kitchen Team. You will work alongside experienced chefs, gaining hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards while working towards your professional development goals.

You will receive practical training across different kitchen sections, develop essential culinary skills, and play an important role in helping deliver exceptional dining

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in cooking, food preparation and hospitality.
• Desire to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction from experienced chefs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with food preparation and cooking to hotel standards.
• Support the kitchen team with mise en place and daily tasks.
• Develop understanding of different cooking methods and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health procedures.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with chefs to support smooth service operations.
• Learn how to minimise food waste and contribute to sustainable kitchen practices.
• Participate in training activities and continuously develop knowledge and practical skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to personal growth throughout the apprenticeship programme.
