The Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our vibrant Kitchen Team, supporting chefs in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes during F&B operations. You will work with the kitchen brigade, assist with mise en place, maintain cleanliness, and uphold health and safety standards while developing culinary skills in a luxury hotel.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience or culinary training within a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment.
• Genuine passion for food and a desire to develop culinary skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Support mise en place preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Ensure all food preparation tasks meet food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Receive and store deliveries, checking quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
