Job summary

Diamonds Factory Lakeside is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead a small team on the shop floor, drive sales and deliver a warm, personal service for engagement rings and luxury jewellery. You will work closely with the Store Manager to uphold standards and coach colleagues.

In this hands‑on role you’ll cover day‑to‑day store operation, assist with rotas, stock, CRM activity, and ensure a premium customer experience, even when the Store Manager is away.

Qualifications

• Experience in jewellery or luxury retail environments.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Confident coaching and motivating others.
• Strong communication and a professional manner.
• Organised and reliable, with responsibility-taking.

Responsibilities

• Support and coach the store team to meet targets.
• Lead by example with personalised, consultative service.
• Build relationships with clients and advise on jewellery for occasions.
• Monitor sales performance, conversion and average order value.
• Assist rotas, stocktakes, visual merchandising and daily operations.
• Develop knowledge of diamonds, jewellery, materials and craftsmanship.
• Manage customer enquiries, bespoke orders and CRM activity.
• Take ownership of the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
