Job summary

The Mitre Hotel in Hampton Court is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our luxury team. You will support the Maintenance or Facilities Manager, respond to calls, and help keep bedrooms, kitchens, and public areas safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and repairs.
• Comfortable working in a hotel environment with guests present.

Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance or Facilities Manager in completing tasks on schedule.
• Work independently or with a team of maintenance staff.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and coordinate with contractors.
• Be guest-focused and discreet while ensuring timely maintenance.
• Conduct routine tests on equipment and machinery to ensure safety.
• Assist with renovations and projects as needed.
• Ensure Hygiene, Health and Safety regulations are followed.
