Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced clerical officer to serve as Lung Cancer Screening Assistant Co-ordinator, supporting the Lead Co-ordinator to deliver the programme and provide excellent care to participants. The post holder will work within the LCS team, employing initiative and evolving with programme needs to meet local and national standards.

Qualifications

• Compassionate communication skills and experience with hospital patient systems.
• Experience in a hospital setting with knowledge of specialised terminology.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with diagnostics, clinic bookings to ensure tests are booked promptly and any issues escalated.
• Be a single point of contact for patients, carers and the healthcare team - triaging sensitive enquiries and referring to the appropriate department.
• Communicate regularly with patients to keep them informed of upcoming appointments, tests and operations and provide practical support.
• Provide training support to new/junior team members.
• Document and monitor all aspects of patient care coordination on Trust IT systems to ensure progress is measurable.
• Ensure electronic notes are maintained to high quality standards following guidelines.
