Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a Welfare Assistant for Chorley St James' Church Of England Primary School in Chorley, Lancashire. The position runs five days a week from 12:15pm to 1:30pm during term time, with pay pro rata for part-time hours.

You will supervise lunchtime dining and playground activities, support structured play, and ensure safe storage of equipment. First Aid and safeguarding adherence are important; DBS checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the hall eating their lunch and clear up spillages.
• Supervise children outside in the playground and support structured play.
• Be responsible for tidy and safe storage of equipment.
• During wet lunchtimes supervise in classrooms and respond to accidents following procedures.
