Job summary

Oakdene Primary Academy is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support lunch periods and supervise playtime. The role involves ensuring a safe outdoor environment, facilitating play opportunities and helping children have a positive lunchtime experience.

The successful candidate should be energetic, kind, and ideally experienced with children; First Aid training is preferred or willingness to complete. This is a permanent, term-time position based in Billingham.

Working Weeks: Term-time only (38 weeks per year)

Salary Scale Range: NJC Point 3 (actual starting salary £2916 per annum)

About the role

Oakdene Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to support lunch times. You will ensure that all our children have meaningful lunchtime play every day. You will work as a member of the Lunchtime Supervisory Team to create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment providing social, active and creative play experiences for all. This team are also responsible for ensuring all our children have a pleasant eating experience at lunchtime, whilst maximising the time they can spend outside playing.

• Ideally has experience of working with children.
• Can facilitate play opportunities
• Can offer care, support, and advice for children during lunchtime.
• Has, or is willing to complete, First Aid training.
