Job summary

Oakdene Primary Academy is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support lunch periods and supervise playtime. The role involves ensuring a safe outdoor environment, facilitating play opportunities and helping children have a positive lunchtime experience.

The successful candidate should be energetic, kind, and ideally experienced with children; First Aid training is preferred or willingness to complete. This is a permanent, term-time position based in Billingham.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or similar settings.
• First Aid training (or willingness to complete).
• Ability to facilitate play opportunities.
• Kind, caring, nurturing and approachable demeanor.
• Energetic, motivated and enthusiastic.
• Willingness to engage with lunch-time supervision tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support lunchtime supervision on a daily basis.
• Create a safe, engaging outdoor play space for all children.
• Facilitate social, active and creative play during lunch breaks.
• Ensure children have a pleasant and smooth lunchtime experience.
• Maximise outdoor playtime while maintaining safety and order.
