Post: Lunchtime Supervisor

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Range: Grade 1,SCP3 – SCP4 (£24,796.00 - £25,185.00 FTE) Pro rata salary £4,372.00 - £4,441.00

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Working Type: Part time, 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12pm - 1.30pm, 38 weeks plus 2 days (paid weeks 45.235)

Base: Dyke House Academy, Mapleton Road, Hartlepool, TS24 8NQ

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Northern Education Trust is seeking a dedicated and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team at Dyke House Academy. In this role, you will work under the direct instruction of the Principal to supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, positive, and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision & Support: Escort pupils to and from the dining area, assist them at the serving counter, and ensure tables and packed-lunch areas are kept clean.
  • Behaviour & Welfare: Maintain suitable behaviour standards in line with academy policy, help children develop social skills, and monitor pupil well-being.
  • Health & Safety: Attend to minor accidents or illness, follow health and safety requirements, and adhere to GDPR and data protection guidelines.
  • Safeguarding: Actively follow the trust's safeguarding and child protection policies, recognizing and reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead/Principal.
