Job summary

Wyvern Academy, part of the Southern Education Trust, is seeking a midday supervisor to support pupils during lunchtimes. You will help maintain a safe, calm dining hall, encourage healthy eating habits, and assist pupils with individual needs to ensure a positive lunchtime for all.

We value kind, enthusiastic, and reliable staff who can remain patient and calm in a busy environment, while building trusting relationships with students and collaborating with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to create a safe lunchtime environment.
• Supervise pupils in the dining hall ensuring safety, wellbeing and dignity.
• Encourage hygiene, good manners and healthy eating habits.
• Support pupils with individual needs to ensure lunchtime is positive for all.
• Set up and clear the dining area, keep the hall clean and welcoming.
• Clean and tidy equipment, including trays, beakers and cutlery.
• Maintain calm and organisation during busy moments.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet every pupil’s needs with care.
• Bring energy, positivity and joy to lunchtime.
