Job summary

Wyvern Academy is seeking a part-time Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to support pupils during the school day. The role focuses on creating a positive lunchtime experience, ensuring safety, and fostering independence and social interaction for pupils with additional needs.

Salary is £25,614 per annum full time equivalent (actual pay for term-time, part-time: £7,405 per annum). 12.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 11:30am–2:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support children and young people in the dining hall and around the school during lunchtime.
• Encourage independence, communication and social interaction.
• Help pupils feel safe, settled and included.
• Support pupils with individual needs with patience, understanding and care.
• Encourage positive behaviour, healthy eating and good hygiene.
• Set up, clear and maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.
• Bring warmth, positivity and encouragement to every day.
