Job summary

Wyvern Academy, part of Southern Education Trust, is seeking a Lunchtime / Midday Supervisory Assistant to support pupils during the 11:30am–2:00pm lunch period. The role offers a part-time, term-time equivalent salary of £7,405 per annum and a full-time equivalent of £25,614 per annum.

The successful candidate will build positive relationships with pupils, help ensure a safe and welcoming dining environment, and support students with independence and social interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience welcome, but attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
• We are looking for someone who cares and can build positive relationships with children.
• Calm under busy times and able to support pupils with independence and social interaction.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support children in the dining hall and around the school at lunchtime.
• Encourage independence, communication and social interaction.
• Help pupils feel safe, settled and included.
• Support pupils with individual needs with patience, understanding and care.
