Job summary

Axcis Education in Sutton, South London, is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant for Midday Support, 11:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will supervise pupils during lunch and play, promoting social interaction and independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing; personal care may be required.

Experience with children or young people, especially in SEND settings, a patient, nurturing attitude, and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people, ideally within education, care, or SEND settings.
• Patient, nurturing, and positive attitude.
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid Child and Adult DBS, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes.
• Support pupils with social interactions and independence.
• Promote safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
• Provide personal care as required.
