Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a caring SEND Midday Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs at a Sutton school during lunch hours. You will help pupils develop social skills, promote independence and ensure safety and wellbeing, including some personal care tasks.

SEND Midday Teaching Assistant Sutton, South London | Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 2:00pm | November 2026

Axcis Education is looking for a caring and reliable SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs during lunchtime at a specialist school in Sutton.

You will help pupils develop social skills, promote independence, support positive behaviour, and ensure their safety and wellbeing. Personal care is required.

We're looking for:

• Experience in education, care, SEND, childcare, or support work
• A patient, positive, and nurturing approach
• Confidence supporting children with additional needs
• A valid Child and Adult DBS, or willingness to obtain one
