Job summary

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL's Severndale academy is seeking a Pupil Support Assistant to support learners during lunchtimes, helping with feeding, welfare and play. The role includes training to support learners with varied eating and drinking needs.

The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week from 09:30 to 14:30, usually at Monkmoor or Futures campuses in Shrewsbury, and will join a small team led by the Lead PSA to promote personal care, dignity and independent learning.

Qualifications

• Assist learners with play, welfare and feeding.
• Support learners with different eating and drinking needs after training.
• Work as part of a team to support personal care and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to learners, ensuring they are clean, comfortable and ready to learn.
• Support at lunchtimes and work with a partner under the Lead PSA.
• Be flexible to work at Monkmoor or Futures campuses depending on learner needs.
