Job summary

Severndale Specialist Academy is seeking Personal Support Assistants to join the dedicated care team. You will support learners' personal care needs in a compassionate, hygienic and dignified way, helping them stay clean, comfortable and ready to learn.

Role involves 25 hours per week from 09:30 to 14:30, with potential duties across Monkmoor campus or Futures (Shrewsbury College) depending on learners' needs. Training for manual handling may be provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively use manual handling techniques including hoisting (when trained).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' personal care needs in a compassionate, hygienic and dignified way.
• Work 25 hours per week from 09:30 to 14:30, with campus allocations as needed (Monkmoor or Futures).
• Assist pupils with play, welfare and feeding during lunchtimes and receive training to support varied eating/drinking needs.
