Job summary

Shropshire Council is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to work at Norton-in-Hales CofE Nursery & Primary School, Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 1:45pm.

You will supervise children in the dining hall, help with lunch, assist with cleaning, and support play on the school grounds or in class when needed. DBS is required and first aid training is advantageous but can be provided.

The post is a fixed-term role until 11 October 2027, with interviews commencing 2 October 2026.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance is required for the role.
• Experience supervising children at lunchtime is preferred.
• First Aid training is advantageous but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtime in the dining hall.
• Help with serving and supervising lunch.
• Assist with cleaning the hall and kitchen area.
• Care for and play with children on the school grounds when weather permits or in the classroom when wet.
