Job summary

Downsbrook Primary School in Worthing is seeking a motivated lunchtime supervisor to join our friendly team. The post is temporary until July 2027, 5 hours per week, term time only, 12.00pm–1.00pm. Salary is NJC Grade 2, SCP 3, £24,796 p.a. pro rata, with an actual starting salary of £2,822 p.a.

The role involves supervising children at lunchtimes, promoting positive play and providing pastoral support. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

Qualifications

• Engage and motivate children to do their best during lunchtimes.
• Able to establish excellent relationships with children and colleagues.
• Be proactive, open to feedback and eager to improve practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at lunchtimes and promote positive play, teamwork and friendship.
• Support children with pastoral care during lunch periods.
• Supervise children while eating lunch and, after training, provide minor first aid.
