Job summary

Downsbrook Primary School in Worthing is seeking a motivated lunchtime supervisor to join our friendly team. The post is temporary until July 2027, 5 hours per week, term time only, 12.00pm–1.00pm. Salary is NJC Grade 2, SCP 3, £24,796 p.a. pro rata, with an actual starting salary of £2,822 p.a.

The role involves supervising children at lunchtimes, promoting positive play and providing pastoral support. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

Hours: 5 hours per week over 5 days, 38 weeks per year (term time only)
12.00pm to 1.00pm

Actual starting salary - £2,822 p.a.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated, positive, dedicated, emotionally intelligent and enthusiastic team player to join our friendly, caring and committed lunchtime team. In particular, we are looking for supervisors to support children at lunchtimes in promoting positive play, teamwork, and friendship, as well as supporting children with their pastoral care. In addition, the role will include supervising children whilst eating their lunch and, following relevant training, providing minor first aid.
