Job summary

Plumb Centre in Ludlow is hiring a Branch Supervisor to support day-to-day branch operations and lead a team on the trade counter. You will supervise staff, assist customers with product questions, and help grow the customer base while ensuring smooth warehouse operations and timely local deliveries.

The role runs 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with a 07.30am - 5.00pm schedule. A full driving licence is essential, and prior supervisory experience in a trade environment is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence is essential.
• Previous experience as a Supervisor within a face-to-face sales environment is essential.
• Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Comfortable making outbound sales calls to gain new business.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with day-to-day running and operations in the branch.
• Supervise and support colleagues with guidance, training and performance feedback.
• Serve customers on the trade counter, advising on products and knowledge.
• Develop the customer base, improve retention and satisfaction, and optimise product range.
• Identify ways to improve profits and build rapport with suppliers.
• General warehouse duties including goods in/out, picking and packing; heavy stock handling.
• Drive a 3.5T van to deliver to customers in the local area.
