Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced LTIS Technical Engineer to support the Land Training Information System Future Classroom programme. The role covers hardware, software, networking and bespoke client systems with on-site deployments and direct customer interaction.

Applicants must meet UK Government security requirements and have right to work in the United Kingdom. This is a hands-on role with emphasis on delivering changes and new-site deployments in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience within an IT support organisation.
• Experience working in a military environment is essential.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of network design/topology.
• Strong understanding of ITIL incident management, including working to SLAs.
• Hands-on experience delivering technology solutions on-site and under pressure.
• Experience researching and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Project delivery experience in MoD-governed environments.
• Configuration management experience.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hardware, software and infrastructure projects from configuration changes to new-site installations.
• Provide on-site implementation and technical support for end-user training systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, networks, operating systems and peripherals.
• Support deployments, updates and technology roll-outs.
• Work with complex bespoke systems including training, AV, networking and telephony.
• Develop installation and escalation plans to support project delivery.
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to customers and colleagues at different levels.
• Deliver work in line with guidelines, standards and customer quality expectations.
