Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive development of cutting‑edge, low‑latency platform capabilities in the Global Liquidity and Cash Management Tech team. You will deliver production code, guide architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while collaborating with global counterparts.

You will write performant, secure code and help scale the team’s capabilities, focusing on secure practices, automated testing, and robust delivery across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on enterprise software development concepts.
• Excellent understanding of Java 17+ fundamentals and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with multi‑threading, messaging, and networks.
• Experience delivering automated tests and test frameworks (JUnit, JMeter, etc.).
• Knowledge of relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and data security.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance, latency‑sensitive code with security in mind.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Senior Engineers on design decisions.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex apps.
• Assess risks and ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
• Mentor engineers, promote paired programming and code reviews.
• Collaborate across a global team and foster inclusive culture.
• Provide technical leadership to epics and build plans.
• Lead adoption of AI‑assisted development practices and validate AI outputs.
• Supports production releases and on‑call coordination.
