Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the development of a low-latency wholesale payments platform at scale.

You will write secure, high-performance code and mentor engineers within a global team across Product, Architecture, Infrastructure and Engineering. You will lead the design and implementation of the quality engineering framework, collaborate to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, and promote responsible AI-assisted development

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on enterprise software development concepts.
Experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
Experience delivering test cases with automated testing frameworks.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL and CockroachDB.
Practical experience delivering system design and operational stability.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance, latency-sensitive code with security in mind.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and Senior Engineers on designs.
Translate requirements into technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure code meets constraints.
Ensure operational stability, performance at scale and security compliance.
Mentor team members and contribute to recruitment and pairing.
Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and validate AI outputs.
