Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join an agile team building secure, scalable front-office solutions that power trading, reference data, and P&L workflows. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot multiple components across complex systems while partnering with traders and control functions to deliver low-latency, reliable software.

You will drive secure coding practices, review peers’ code, and lead architectural discussions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python with strong SQL/database skills.
• Experience in large corporate environments and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code.
• Design and troubleshoot front-office services and trading workflows.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements under time constraints.
• Lead design reviews and engage with vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure secure coding practices and operational stability across services.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
