Job summary

TP ICAP, a world-leading market infrastructure provider, seeks a C++ Software Engineer in London to develop high-performance systems powering price discovery and analytics across multiple asset classes. You’ll work with senior engineers to analyze, design, develop and test features, spanning legacy and modern C++.

You’ll engage with quants and brokers to translate needs into reliable software while contributing to ongoing modernization.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical subject or equivalent industry experience.
• 2–3 years of commercial C++ experience.
• Proficient in modern C++ and STL.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test C++ features, and see them safely to production.
• Work across legacy and modern C++, modernising while keeping systems stable.
• Help estimate work and discuss solutions with the team.
• Learn the domain and codebase from Senior and Principal Engineers.
• Support directed refactoring towards target-state architecture.
• Contribute to the team’s SDLC: planning, prioritisation and delivery.
• Work directly with end users (quants and brokers) to deliver what they need.
