Qualifikationen

• Degree in a technical subject or equivalent industry experience.
• Around 2-3 years' commercial C++ experience.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17 or later).
• Solid understanding of the STL, memory management, RAII and pointer semantics.
• Comfortable communicating directly with non-technical users.
• Comfortable using debuggers and diagnostic tools to investigate issues.
• Willingness to work in a mixed legacy and modern codebase.
• Growth mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced engineers.
• Experience of the software development lifecycle in a technical role.
• Familiarity with unit testing (for example Catch2 or similar).

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and test C++ features, and see them safely to production
• Work across legacy and modern C++, modernising while keeping systems stable
• Help estimate work and discuss solutions with the team
• Learn the domain and codebase from Senior and Principal Engineers
• Support directed refactoring towards target-state architecture
• Contribute to the team's SDLC: planning, prioritisation and delivery
• Work directly with end users (quants and brokers) to deliver what they need
