Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a mainstream secondary school in Burnley, Lancashire.

The role is long-term temporary, starting October 2026, and involves close collaboration with SEND staff to help the pupil access the curriculum and stay engaged throughout the school day. You will work under the guidance of classroom staff, building a positive relationship with the pupil and delivering individualized support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Ability to work one-to-one and within a school team.
• Initiative and adaptability to pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to a pupil with additional needs.
