Job summary

Vision for Education are partnering with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Lancaster, Lancashire, to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This role supports pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum and develop confidence.

You will work with the SEND team and class teachers, providing 1:1 or small-group support, with experience in Autism, ADHD, SEMH preferred. The school values patience, adaptability and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with staff and pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the secondary school to access the curriculum.
• Work with the SEND team and class teachers to implement individualised strategies.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support as needed.
• Support social development and behaviour in line with school policies.
