Job summary

Artificial Labs is seeking an IT Manager to own day-to-day IT, covering devices, the office network, tools, and user support. You will report to the CIO and be based in London, balancing productivity with security as the company grows.

You will focus on practical security—patching devices, access controls, and managing software licenses—ensuring a well-ordered IT environment and smooth onboarding/offboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing IT operations in a growing company.
• Hands-on with device management and endpoint tooling.
• Comfortable with identity and access operations, including provisioning and access reviews.
• Experience managing software, licensing and the sprawl that builds up over time.
• Experience managing corporate network infrastructure and equipment.
• Experience running a helpdesk or support function and keeping users happy.
• A security-minded, practical approach to everyday IT.

Responsibilities

• Own endpoint security in practice, including device configuration, patching, controlling local admin rights, and reducing unmanaged software.
• Look after workplace and network security, including the office network and keeping guest and corporate access properly separated.
• Run identity operations day to day, including provisioning, joiner, mover and leaver changes, and regular access reviews.
• Manage software and licensing across the company, and bring order to tools that have crept in without oversight.
• Manage 3rd party vendors such as internet suppliers.
• Look after the office network, devices and everyday hardware.
• Run the IT helpdesk and make sure people get quick, helpful support.
• Make joining and leaving the company a smooth, well-run experience.
