Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join its technology team in London. This hybrid role combines hands-on desktop and user support across Windows and macOS environments, with exposure to AD and Google Workplace deployments across multiple sites.

You'll troubleshoot hardware and software, manage accounts and access, and contribute to improving service reliability through documented guidance and knowledge sharing. Strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a service desk or IT support role.
• Good knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
• Experience with Active Directory and Google Workspace is beneficial.
• Confident troubleshooting hardware, software, access and connectivity issues.
• Basic networking understanding including Wi‑Fi, IP addressing and physical connectivity.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude with willingness to take ownership and explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for IT queries and service requests.
• Logging, prioritising and resolving incidents through the IT service management platform.
• Troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices and other business hardware.
• Supporting users across Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.
• Managing user accounts, password resets and access permissions.
• Supporting Active Directory and Google Workspace environments.
• Completing onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
• Carrying out basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, IP addressing and physical connectivity.
• Supporting the setup and deployment of hardware across different business locations.
• Escalating more complex issues with clear and accurate technical information.
• Creating straightforward user guides and maintaining support documentation.
• Identifying recurring issues and working with the wider IT team to improve service reliability.
