Job summary

SGI is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in London, operating in a hybrid model. You will be the face of IT, delivering 2nd line support across Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and device lifecycle management in a regulated financial services environment.

You’ll manage Intune/Autopilot, Entra ID/Azure AD, and iPhone/Mac devices, while collaborating with vendors and teams to improve services. A strong service mindset and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Desktop Support/EUC/IT Support role within Financial Services.
• Strong Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 experience.
• Hands-on Intune and Autopilot experience.
• Experience with Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Experience supporting Apple devices through MDM / Apple Business Manager.
• Good understanding of networking and endpoint security.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proactive, practical and ownership-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 2nd line / desktop support, handling issues from triage to resolution.
• Support a Windows 11 estate using Intune and Autopilot, including config and deployment.
• Manage joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle across user accounts, devices and licenses.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Manage corporate iPhone estate via Apple Business Manager and Intune MDM.
• Oversee lifecycle of laptops, mobile devices, peripherals (deployment, repairs, disposal).
• Support Entra ID / Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access and user/group administration.
• Support Wi-Fi, LAN, meeting room AV, Teams Rooms, UCaaS and telephony.
