Job summary

Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd in Derby (DE1 9TA) is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to oversee a busy TMUK operation, supervise a fast-paced shunting and loading bay, and ensure safe forklift operations in line with Health & Safety standards.

You will coach and develop the team, manage performance, and support daily activities from scheduling to customer liaison, with a rotating Monday–Friday pattern and flexibility to work overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Team Leader role is essential.
• FLT Counterbalance Licence is essential.
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written form.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client requirements to ensure parts are delivered to locations.
• Allocate team activities and ensure tasks are achievable.
• Provide KPI data to Line Manager for performance monitoring.
• Review and optimise SOPs to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Deliver structured shift handovers between shifts.
