Job summary

Smith+Nephew is seeking a warehouse/logistics specialist to coordinate shipping, manage loan sets and perform system updates. You will inspect equipment, unpack and pack loan sets, and ensure accuracy of documentation for dispatch.

The role involves hands-on warehousing tasks (up to 80% of the time) and requires basic computer skills. Experience in medical devices is advantageous; hybrid working model offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, logistics or medical devices preferred.
• Ability to follow processes and handle medical equipment with care.
• Comfortable with physical work up to 80% of the role.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping via in-house couriers and loan operations (40%).
• Inspect and perform minor testing of surgical equipment and loan sets; verify documents.
• Receipt and unpack loan sets; scan and verify documents; prepare for dispatch.
• Update Mymediset, SAP and Movemedical systems (40%).
• Conduct cycle counts, reporting, replenishments, and related duties (20%).

What will you be doing?

• Coordinate shipping via in-house couriers
• Loan Operations and Trade Operations (40%)
  • Inspect and perform minor functional testing of surgical equipment, consumable sets, control units, and AWM pumps
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan documentation prior to inspection
  • Receipt loan sets: unpacking, scanning, and verifying supplied documents
  • Pick, scan, and prepare loan sets for dispatch
  • Coordinate shipping via in-house couriers
  • Pick, pack, and ship outbound trade orders
  • Receive goods, unpack, conduct physical checks, and put stock away
• System work (40%)
  • Updating Mymediset/SAP/Movemedical
• Additional duties such as cycle counts, reporting, replenishments, cleaning pumps etc. (20%)

What you will need to be successful?

• Strong attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach
• Comfortable with physical work (up to 80% of the role)
• Ability to follow processes and handle medical equipment with care
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook and Excel
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, medical devices, or loan sets is advantageous but not essential
